He made the wrong choice

High Leverage NOT Hustle

Last weekend I invited my 12-year-old to go on a bike ride that included getting ice cream. πŸ˜›

He got excited, but said he wanted to ride his scooter instead.

I reminded him that it would be SIX miles (almost 10k) round trip and much harder on a scooter - but he insisted he'd be fine.

About 8 minutes in, he started complaining that his hands were hurting. I suggested we turn around, but he wanted to keep going.

Five minutes later: One leg was sore AND blisters were forming next to his thumbs.

I suggested turning around again - we weren't even halfway there yet. But nope, he was "fine."

Eventually we made it to the ice cream place, enjoyed some peanut butter cup swirled with vanilla soft serve, then started heading home.

When I asked if he regretted his transportation choice, he admitted the bike would have been much easier.

Here's the thing: I see entrepreneurs make this exact same mistake in their business.

Free Workshop: Why Your Launch Copy Isn’t Converting

One of the fastest ways to increase sales in your business is to have better sales copy.

So we’ve invited my copywriter Nicola Moors in for a special guest expert workshop:

Why Your Launch Copy Isn’t Converting (It’s Not Your Copy)

Nicola is a pro copywriter who has written huge campaigns and worked with names you may know including Amy Porterfield.

In this training you'll learn:

  • The deeper psychological insight you’ve gotta nail in your copy β€” to move someone from interest to decision
  • How to tell if fixing this one thing will increase your conversions (without writing a word of copy)
  • The simplest way to help buyers buy from you faster in your launches β€” without adding pressure or gross salesy tactics

It's happening in our Done By Lunch community next Thursday February 18th at 12pm EST (New York time).

If you're already a member of our community, just click the button below to get the info and RSVP.

If you're not a member of our community yet, click the button below, then click RSVP on the event and create your login (it's free!).

NOTE: This no-pitch workshop is free to attend live, but if it's more convenient you can save 50% on the recording by buying it ahead of time.

Scooting For Leads (continued)

When choosing how to generate leads, most business owners pick the method with the lowest barrier to entry - even when they know it'll be way more work in the long run.

For transportation:

Scooter: Grab and go, no special training or attire required. Easy to start but you're hurting and exhausted after 15 minutes. Low leverage.

Bicycle: Requires certain clothes and the ability to ride. More work to get going, but gets you further, faster. High leverage.

For marketing:

Instagram/Facebook/LinkedIn: Throw up text or image posts. Easy to get started, but every post disappears from feeds within days. Low leverage.

YouTube: Record and edit videos. Harder to get started, but your content keeps bringing leads for YEARS. I have videos from 8+ years ago getting 500 views per month and still bringing me leads. High leverage.

Your time is valuable. Choose the option that gives you what you actually want (consistent warm leads) without burning you out.

46% Better In Four Weeks?

Something to think about if you're publishing on YouTube...

You're uploading up every week. But every time you finish a video, you're left wondering...

Was that title actually good? Did my intro work? What's really holding my videos back?

The problem isn't effort β€” it's that you're too close to your own work to see what needs to change.

Your accountability group cheers you on (which is great), but they don't know YouTube strategy.

Facebook groups give you "nice thumbnail!" comments that don't move the needle.

And trying to be your own coach is hard because you can't see your own blind spots.

But what if I personally watched your videos every single week and gave you specific feedback on what's working and what to fix?

I can also review your title, thumbnail and video outline ideas before you recorded them.

Today I'm opening up a new program where I'll do that for you every week to help you grow faster on YouTube.

I can only do this for 3 people right now, so reply with "YouTube" if you'd like me to send over the info.

There's no hard selling from me - just a chance to see if this is a good fit for you.

By the way if you got 10% better every week, you'd be 46% better after only 4 weeks.

And 245% better after a few months.

High Leverage NOT Hustle Do these sound familiar? β€œThe truth is…” β€œIn today’s world…” "Not X. Not Y. Just Z."
